Candace Holtzman, BA, DTATI, OATR, RP

I have been working as a Psychotherapist since 1996.  I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from York University, and I received my Masters Level Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute.  I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and I am also a Registered Art Therapist with the Ontario Art Therapy Association, and as such, I adhere to their codes of ethics, policies and standards of professional practice . 

Prior to returning to private practice in 2010, I worked as a staff therapist in schools, multidisciplinary centres and hospitals, including North York General, Women’s College, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and Bloorview MacMillan Children’s Centre.

I have worked extensively with children, adolescents and adults in individual, group, couple, and family therapy sessions, and specialize in working with clients who have anxiety, depression, eating disorders, highly sensitive nature, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma.  I also have expertise in working with separation and divorce, behavioural and emotional issues, and empowering self-esteem and confidence building.
